A local car dealership for Renault has replaced its 25 year old compressor with a brand new one.

We were called in to look at replacing this compressor due to its age and this unit had started to show signs of airend bearing failure. This is wear the temperature starts to rise due to the compressor element running hotter, which was advised to the customer from a previous breakdown by another service company who have since ceased trading.

This unit was put in a small compressor house and the new one was to take its place with size being one of the main issues. There was only one way in and one way out but due to the new range of Atlas Copco GA5-11 units this was a simple installation. The compact size of the GA11 allowed a simple installation and the upgrade of the MKV graphic controller has allowed us to programme its weekly running timer and manual start/stop has become a thing of the past.
