Oil injected piston
|
The LE/LT compressor range covers the precise
needs of a wide range of end users.
Many proven design features are incorporated, including V design
and lightweight materials for low vibration and optimal heat
dissipation, to provide a long lifetime of operation.
The cast-iron crankshaft and cooling fan are supported by heavy
duty ball bearings ensuring a long lifetime and a smooth and
quiet operation.
The LE/LT range has long service intervals and reduced maintenance
costs.
Oil carry over levels are very low (< 0.1 g/kW/h), making
the units ideal for continuous duty, mainstream industrial applications.
In combination with Atlas Copco quality air products such as
DD/PD filters, FD refrigerant and CD adsorption air dryers, they
form high quality air packages for applications where pure air
is needed. |

The combination of features which distinguish
Atlas Copco's compressors has led to a new quantum leap in customer
value : The "WorkPlace" air compressor system.
Moving the compressor out of the conventional
compressor room to the point of use has been made possible thanks
to the extremely low noise levels and the integration of optional
ancillaries such as air and condensate treatment equipment.
The "WorkPlace" air compressor system contributes to
improvements in installation and has much more impact on customer
value than traditional products. |

Variable Speed Drive
|
Atlas Copco pioneered the GA Variable Speed
Drive compressors, offering the capability to match perfectly
compressor capacity to air demand. A GA VSD compressor is able
to follow the fluctuating demand by varying the speed of its
drive motor. As air demand goes down, the GA VSD lowers the delivered
flow and consequently the power consumption. This is the key
feature of the GA VSD compressors. They reduce the energy consumption
to a minimum by avoiding completely unloaded power consumption
and save up to 22 % on the total life cycle cost.
Atlas Copco designed the GA VSD range according to the "WorkPlace
Air System™" concept, offering the possibility to
move the compressor out of the conventional compressor room to
the point of use. This concept has been made possible thanks
to the extremely low noise levels and the integration of the
optional ancillaries such as air and condensate treatment. |

Heatless desiccant dryers
|
Atlas Copco offers a range of CD dryers, covering air capacities
from 1.4 to 1050 l/s and available in 21 sizes with a pressure
dewpoint from -20° to -40°C and -70°C as an option.
CD dryers have a constant air pressure due to smooth pressurizing
of the towers. Granular aluminium oxide is used for a low dewpoint
and easy regeneration.
The principle of the heatless adsorption dryers
(reactivation by purge air) is based on the physical property
of the desiccant to adsorb and desorb water vapour. The dryer
consists of two drying towers, one of which is in drying service
while the other is under reactivation treatment. |

Filtration &
Replacement elements

After compressing the air, the concentration of
particles and moisture increases. This creates an abrasive mixture
that can cause extensive damage.
Instruments and tools can malfunction, spray painting and breathing
air can be rendered unusable, maintenance costs will increase
and products will be spoiled.
The range of Atlas Copco's DD -
PD - DDp and QD filters, when used in the correct combinations,
will provide high quality air from 9 to 7200 l/s at nominal
working conditions. |

Condensate management

The range of EWD electronically controlled
condensate drains is synonymous with safe, dependable and economical
condensate management.
The intelligent drain function monitors condensate
build-up with liquid level sensors and evacuates the condensate
only when necessary, thus avoiding wastage of compressed air
and giving considerable energy savings.
The EWD drain device offers security and confidence,
enabling you to solve all condensate discharge problems even
with heavily contaminated systems.
A wide range of different EWD drains is available
for oil contaminated condensate and may also be provided with
additional hard coating for use with oil-free and aggressive
condensate. |

OSC -
Advanced technology for all compressed air condensates
The new and extensive OSC range from Atlas Copco uses patented
technology to separate all kinds of compressed air condensate.
The multi-stage separation process, using both buoyant oleophilic
filters and activated carbon, ensures exceptional performance,
long and proven filter lifetime and trouble-free operation.
All separators are manufactured in accordance with Atlas
Copco's Quality and Environment Management System. These
systems comply fully with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001. All Atlas
Copco separators are tested to perform under the most demanding
conditions.
